Studios shape youth music scene

Carrboro Music Studios offer lessons for a wide range of instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, violin and vocals.
Ten years ago Chris Seagle opened the studio on Main Street. In 2005 he added another location on Greensboro Street to meet the growing demand for music programs.

I’m Daniel Matchar, a sophomore at Chapel Hill High, and I’m a Tiger. I have legacy at that high school. My sister Emily and brother Ben graduated from there ages ago. For some time, I aspired to graduate from Chapel Hill High, carrying on the Matchar name. I had stuck the idea in my head that I had to finish high school there. I wanted the teachers who knew my siblings. I didn’t want change of any sort. But my mindset changed.

Carrboro makes bicyclers feel at home

Gold, silver and bronze are awards normally associated with the Olympic Games. But in May 2004, Carrboro received a prestigious award of its own. The town was designated as a bicycle friendly community at the bronze level by the American League of Bicyclists.
