Carrboro Commons photographers Brittany Jackson, Hannah Sharpe and Danielle Verrilli covered last week’s Carrboro Music Festival with their cameras and microphones, creating this Soundslide presentation, crafted by Carrboro Commons Photo Editor Danielle Verrilli along with the help of Jay Almers, the J-School’s Web developer.

    Thanks! As the Carrboro Commons adviser, I gotta say, this work is entirely the creation of my amazing kids. Each semester I am blessed by their talent and energy.
    And although we know we are “parachute journalists,” and not Carrboro natives, we are truly trying to represent this wonderful town in a good-faith and authentic manner. That’s why, even as major metro papers flounder and fail, I believe indy all-local community newspapers will survive and prosper. JL
